Punjab Kings registered its sixth lowest total in Indian Premier League (IPL) history during its Qualifier 1 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in New Chandigarh on Thursday.
Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma picked three wickets each, while Yash Dayal scalped two to wreck Punjab’s power-packed batting lineup. The trio’s efforts were backed up by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Romario Shepherd, who took one wicket, as Punjab was bowled out for 101 in 14.1 overs.
With six wickets down for 60 runs, the punt to bring in another batter, Musheer Khan, as the impact player also backfired after he was dismissed for a three-ball duck.
