How did India qualify for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025?
India had Iran, Qatar, and Kazakhstan in its first round of qualifiers. A top two finish would have booked the team’s spot in the final tournament.
However, with just one win in six games, India did enough to finish third and give itself one final shot at qualifying.
In the final qualifying tournament, India topped its group with wins against Iraq and Bahrain to make the Asia Cup.
It’s performance in the qualifiers also saw its world rank climb five spots to 76th.
